This week, I made a plate for Zeotrope.

This plate was made to ensure that the models entering the Zeotrope are correctly positioned and as a result, the 3D Zeotrope was successfully executed.

Did a research to make a One Model 3D Zoetrope  - inspired by John Edmark

'John Edmark' had found out that the Phyllotactic spirals had a certain pattern similar to a Zoetrope.

Made 8 simple patterns for example for 3D printing.

Pattern 1~8 were previewed animationed and compounded in aftereffect.

Made a simple pattern with 3Ds max but while I was modeling it I wanted to make some inspiring patterns.

1. First made an simple 3D animation with 3Ds max

2. Exported every frame of the animation (24frame)

3. Import all OBJ files to Pepakura Designer 4 and unwrap all OBJ

3D Zoetype

3D line motion adds basic animal motion. I intend to connect the Arduino with the color change or shutter speed control to control the speed / color when people get near the 3D Zoetype.

As I done this experience I found out that the back wall was too bright so I had to find another way to project and I found a program for projection mapping. It is called 'VPT8'. The next project will use VPT8 and project a better mapping artwork.
